How to switch camera input devices

Terry Nov 22, 2016 02:18PM CST

I have three web cams on my machine but your software appears to have detected the cam in my laptop lid and I can't find a mechanism in ChromaCam to select a different input to apply the green screen effect to.

How can I switch devices?

In addition to the laptop lid cam I have a Logitech c920 and a microsoft Lifecam.

Hi there Terry, thanks for the note, and sorry for the camera selection snafu.

We’re working on putting a camera dropdown selector directly in ChromaCam, for exactly cases like this where the integrated camera in the PC is being picked up and not the externally plugged in camera.

For now, simply go into Device Manager and disable the integrated camera. This will ensure that the Lifecam, the c920, or whatever external webcam you plug in,will be the camera picked up by ChromaCam to do background removal.
